A jar of broken promises

I hunted all broken promises

and hid them  in a jar made of tender earth’s smiles .

then  I set them in the sunshine

to grasp its warmth.

I sprinkled them under the generous rain to grow

and bloom.

I traded my sweet memories for the  colours of a butterfly’s wings

to paint them with hope and love.

Then I entrusted them with the wind

to  whisper them  into the ear of  people

seeking for a wish in the pocket of life.

A wish to seal  the wounded walls of their cracked souls.
